A parent with a child that needs help can feel totally helpless and powerless .The daily challenges of coping with the demands of caring for an individual with challenges can sometimes be overwhelming. Parents face great difficulties in finding time off for each other, much less than other children.

The parents play a very important part in the system of child development program of NIDD and this is different from some models that tend to exclude the parents from the treatment of their child.

Considering the importance of the role of parents in the developmental program of the children with challenges, we have regular parental training program to help the process of the development of their own child with special needs.

In the final analysis, our program’s successes are measured in a mother’s tears of joy when their child walks or talks for the first time when they thought they would never be able to. That is why the training of parents is getting much more importance and response.
