In the early 70’s, people found a need for community based
programs for individuals living in the state institutions. A variety
of programs including recreation, employment and educational
programs were established. In 1990, when state institutions were
closed the institute established a supported living agency,
operating 24 hours a day, providing long-term care to individuals
with physical and mental challenges

Home Integration, a community based
program, designed and developed by NIDD, provides services in
the state of Oklahoma for the last two decades.
Home Integration has developed various innovative programs and
activities for individuals with developmental delays. It also
coordinates various community resources for the benefit of the
individual. Home Integration programs out-reaches
individuals that are living with family members. |

Home Integration’s
community-based programs has a team of trained, dedicated and
experienced managers who provide a commendable program for
individuals with physical and mental challenges.
Home Integration’s
multi-faceted program envisions serving more and more families,
children and adults with developmental delays in the coming years with its
strong team of professionals. While we focus on serving individuals
in and around the Oklahoma area directly, we are reaching out to
people across the nation and beyond through its umbrella
organization - NIDD’s outreach efforts.
